Noem Campaigns in Wyoming July 29, South Carolina August 23 – Dakota Free Press
Part-time governor and full-time presidential candidate Kristi Noem is filling out her out-of-state campaign itinerary for the rest of the summer. Next week, Thursday, July 29, she is heading to Cheyenne, Wyoming for a fundraiser that she has asked Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon to organize for her:
Governor Mark Gordon and US Senator Cynthia Lummis will headline a $ 1,000 per plate fundraiser for South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem in Cheyenne later this month.
The fundraiser, coordinated by Michigan-based Republican consultants the Templar Baker Group, features former Wyoming Statehouse candidates, farm leaders and other prominent political figures. It comes as Noem has been pitched as a potential candidate for the Republican Party’s nomination for president in 2024.
A representative for Gordon said Noem’s campaign had initially approached him, asking if he would co-sponsor the reception, and he agreed. Gordon did not ask Noem for help with his next re-election campaign, according to his campaign rep Gail Geringer, although he “would certainly welcome her when the time comes,” she wrote in a statement. Then, on August 23, candidate Noem traveled to South Carolina to stroke voters in the first primaries:
Noem will speak on August 23 at the “Faith and Freedom BBQ” in Anderson, host US Representative Jeff Duncan told The Associated Press on Friday.
According to Duncan, who represents South Carolina’s 3rd District, the event is the largest annual gathering of Republicans in the state.
… “Having served with Kristi Noem in Congress, I know firsthand that she is a fighter who believes that government was created for the people, and that it should not rule our lives,” Duncan told AP . [Meg Kinnard, “Noem to Headline GOP Event in Early-Voting South Carolina,” AP, 2021.07.23].
Chances are, Noem won’t actually run for president in 2024. All his jet-set could just be a campaign for vice-presidency in 2024 followed by a run for president in 2028 if white voters that the GOP does not remove Take America Back ™ choose incompetence and decline with a 2024 ticket from the Chief Insurgent and his nurse Cowgirl. But a girl has to be up for anything, and running around the country in a four-year-old contest is a lot more fun than hanging out with Peter and solving political problems.
