It’s no surprise that with Nusret amassed an impressive net worth from all of his successes. But how much is he really worth – and how did he get so rich?

What is Salt Bae’s net worth?

Salt Bae’s net worth is estimated to be $ 60million (£ 44million) in 2021.

The 38-year-old was born to a Kurdish family in Erzurum, Turkey. He left school at the age of 11 to become an apprentice butcher and contribute to his family’s finances.

It was during this time that he was inspired to become a chef.

Although most people have known him from the 2017 meme, that’s not where his ambitious career began.

In 2009, Gokce moved to Buenos Aires where he worked in a restaurant and learned more about the meat industry.

Then, in 2010, at the age of 27, he opened his first Nusr-Et steakhouse in the Istanbul district.

Soon a Turkish businessman ate at the restaurant and was so impressed that he invested, which meant that Gokce was able to open more locations.

In 2017, his fame grew after a video of him preparing food was posted on his restaurant’s Instagram and Twitter accounts.

His confident demeanor and the way he sprinkles salt on his food made the video go viral and Salt Bae’s name became well known.
